First thing you need to do to earn extra money online is to get your own website.

How do you get one?  What does getting your own website even involve?

1. Buy a domain - the name of the website you want (must be unique, and no two same domain names can exist unless they have a different extension)

2. Buy hosting - having a domain without hosting is like having a house with no land to put it on!

3. Buy privacy - this is quite important so that hackers and malicious individuals out there cannot get your private information and hurt you

The domain is usually paid for in the form of a very small annual fee about $10.  You can get domains from many different domain registrars, such as GoDaddy, Yahoo, and Namecheap to name a few.  For a beginner, buying a domain at these places can be quite daunting because once you purchase a domain, they ask you if you want to upgrade a multitude of options that will see your bill rising.  People are sometimes swayed into adding on extra options that cost them more money when they have absolutely no need for them.  All you need are the three that I listed above.  The hosting is what you pay for every month, and that costs anywhere upwards from $5 to hundreds of dollars or more depending on the kind of package.
